John D Gorilla Children's Picture Books

John D Gorilla comes from the jungles of Africa to a village in the Cotswolds. The fun starts when the lady in the pretty hat (it has bananas on it) sends him to the village school.

When he joins the children for their school outing to the River Severn tidal bore, it is almost a disaster.

John D has never been surfing before. He doesn’t even know if gorillas can swim!

These adventures are inspired by a real gorilla who lived in Uley a century ago.
