Ape Alliance and GAFI at Bristol Zoo's Big Village Fete

Ape Alliance and the Great Apes Film Initiative have stands at this family fun event at Bristol Zoo all day on Saturday 15th July

You can have a go pedalling GAFI's pedal power cinema and there's a pedal powered scalextric track for children to jump on a bike and power a car carrying endangered apes round the track!

The whole zoo will be transformed into a community festival!

Spreading over the entire 12 acre site BBVF will offer music, dance, theatre and games to a crowd of 1000s from all communities in the city.

The main lawn will play host to music and dance performances from Reggae to Bhangra and Ballet to Hip Hop. Family games and activities will run all day on the West Lawn from giant jenga to childrens story telling. At the stunning herbaceous area you can experience true relaxation in the form of massage or pedicure, yoga or meditation all set to the beautiful accompaniment of some of Bristols finest Acoustic music.

As well as endless entertainment opportunities crowds will also have a selection of approx 30 stalls to visit, these will be set up throughout the grounds to offer everything from art workshops to locally made produce. 

Entry to this event is free with normal Zoo admission. Admission tickets can be bought on the day at our main gates or in advance online here
