Position Description:
The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA) is seeking an Administrative Officer

In this full-time position, you will perform diverse roles ranging from research to writing to organizing. Your work will strengthen PASA's communications and fundraising and the Alliance?s ongoing projects to defend primates in Africa.

Full time employment
A minimum 18 month commitment is expected
Reporting to the Communications & Administration Manager

Main Responsibilities
Assist members of PASA's staff with diverse tasks as needed
Conduct online research and share findings with the PASA team
Write articles, updates, etc. about the Alliance?s programs in Africa
Update and organize online databases
Layout and test mass emails
Write reports to funding organizations
Organize and revise files and folders on shared drives
Assist with planning events, including presentations and conferences
Make travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotel rooms, and rental cars
Purchase supplies and equipment and maintain inventory

Additional Responsibilities, If Needed
Edit video files from African sanctuaries to make short videos
Use Adobe Photoshop to edit photos and add text to them
Manage PASA's social media accounts
Assist with donor relations, including writing acknowledgement letters and emails and phoning donors

Qualifications/Experience:
To fill this position, you must have excellent administrative skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication, as well as a demonstrated ability to multitask and to work as part of a team. 

4-year degree

Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for animal welfare and/or wildlife conservation
Excellent administrative skills including organization and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and complete them within deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferably proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, video editing software, and WordPress
Preferably ability to write in French
