If you haven't heard yet, there is a hydro dam being built right across the habitat of the last 800 of this incredible species, which will fragment their population and wipe them out.
We don't want this to happen.
We organised a mass letter writing campaign and protests to try and stop the Bank of China from funding this destructive dam. They responded by inviting us to present our concerns at a meeting in London, and reassured us that no finance has been given because the project is still under review. We continue to urge all involved to protect the Batang Toru forest and seek alternative sources of renewable energy.
