Dr Ben Garrod presents: Blood Brothers - What to Do with the Liberian 'Blood' Chimps - A Bristol Zoo Conservation Lecture
After decades of experimentation, the funding and care for over 80 Liberian research chimps was cut by the New York Blood Center. This talk looks at the legacy left behind and how one inspirational couple has saved the lives of many of these animals and the challenges they have faced.
Join us for this fantastic opportunity to discover the story of one of nature's most distinctive social primates.
Funds will go towards the Bristol Zoological Society's Alumni Fund which provides an annual award for a distinguished alumni of our Higher Education Provision. BZS currently runs 5 degree programmes that focus on wildlife conservation, animal health, and zoological management, with 4 institutions (University of Bristol, University of the West of England, SGS College, and University of Gloucestershire).
