Great Ape talk at the Festival of Nature.

Great Ape talk at the Festival of Nature.

Free Talk and Discussion at 4pm on Wednesday 4th June 2008 in the Talks Tent at the Bristol Festval of Nature.

The survival of the great apes depends on the preservation of their tropical forest habitat. In turn, these forests play an important role in maintaining climatic stability. So the value that we, as a society, place on the conservation of our closest relatives may not only determine their fate but also affect our own future too in a changing world. In this talk and discussion, Ian Redmond and other specialists explore the various roles of research, education and the media in promoting the conservation of the great apes around the world.
