Come along and write a letter to save the orangutans!

Help fight the construction of a damn in Sumatra that will destroy the habitat of the most endangered ape on the planet. Though other banks have dropped funding because it is so environmentally destructive, the Bank of China are funding building a hydroelectric damn in Sumatra, which will provide <1% of electricity, directly through the habitat of the newly discovered and highly endangered Tapanuli orangutan. Sumatra has other renewable energy options, such as a much more productive geothermal energy potential project.

We can't let this damn happen! So we are writing letters in mass to the Bank of China to urge them to stop. We will be organising other forms of protest later in the year.

Letter templates will be provided, so all you have to do is come along and copy out a letter, with a personalised twist if you like.
Biscuits will be available...

Come for as little as 10 minutes and do your good deed for the day, get free snacks, meet some like-minded people and have a chat to find out who the Ape Alliance are and the issues we work on. No tickets needed, just turn up.

We hope to see you there!

(If you can't make this session, don't worry we will be repeating the event in following weeks!)

No tickets required- just turn up!
